| Abstract |
In 2009 the worldwide operating TÜV Rheinland Group acquired TNO Quality BV. This company continues as TÜV Rheinland Quality and, among new activities, offers various services and products still under the trade marks TNO Quality Services and TNO Certification.
The business line Products investigates and evaluates the quality of products and materials with respect to functional properties, durability, service life and safety. Our knowhow-base is specialist knowledge of (polymer) materials with respect to properties, manufacturing processes and applications.
Some examples are given of special civil and industrial building constructions where rubber plays an important and vital role. TNO Quality Services carried out independent investigations and inspections for these constructions with respect to material quality and service life. |
